Reflections & Shadows

"Don't waste your life in doubts and fears: spend yourself on the work before you,
well assured that the right performance of this hour's duties
will be the best preparation for the hours or ages that follow it."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Take any of these definitions for Shadow and you'll find a deeper meaning in the words...

1. An area that is not or is only partially irradiated or illuminated because of the interception of radiation by an opaque object between the area and the source of radiation.
2. The rough image cast by an object blocking rays of illumination.
3. An imperfect imitation or copy.
4. shadows The darkness following sunset.

I've always been fascinated with captured the following, shadows, reflections, stairways and doors. I'll post more of the other ones soon. It's interesting though to see the abstraction that is created from shadows and reflections. It's like looking into another world.

Smashing Magazine has some interesting links to other photographers that play with shadows.

Enjoy!
